Program: Brasil em Cores
The Trio Brazil em Cores has delighted audiences with the cornucopia of Brazilian music – classical and popular, past and present – since 2004. Their vast repertoire includes, among others, works of Z. Abreu, Ch. Gonzaga, Rodrigo B. Maio, E. Nazareth, H. Villa-Lobos in addition to the vast jungle of Brazilian popular music: Bossa Nova, Choro, Forro, Maxixe, Polka, Samba, Waltz…

“The ever-popular 40s hit, Tico-Tico no Fuba, opened the Brazilian part of the programme. In the following pieces, the exceptionally gifted performers brought across the heavy tropical scents, the fire, and the melancholy of this vast land. Yara Borges’s fingers flew effortlessly over the keyboard, Myriam Hidber Dickinson layered on a vast palette of colors and feeling, Aldo M. Reis added – with discretion and elegance – the groove."
